The video embedded above is an example of an A2 music video that myself and my group watched to look at the style of the video how well the lyrics and visuals fit together and the style of the music chosen. In this video some of the visuals we saw are similar to the way we have wrote our script and intend to soon film those visuals are a character sitting on her bed looking at old memories of her and someone else in black and white photographs covering some of her bed. We have a similar part in our script where our character Danii is looking at her photographs on her bed which is similar to that in our example A2 music video.

You could probably analyse this in more detail quite easily Becky. Also, make links between the genre and target audience of your own artist and this one.
ReplyDeleteWith further evaluation of this music video the shots and transitions included are a range of shots from close - ups to show the female characters emotions so the audience can try to begin to understand what she may be thinking or feeling other shots include wide angled shots to show more of the picture around so the audience can easily see what is going on an example of this is when the female character is running towards the millenium bridge. Other techniques that have been included are zooming in and out cuts between some shots and panning with the motion of the character especially giving an effect when she is running as if the audience were actually there watching her run. Shots that aere in this music video that will be similar to our video is she is writing a letter to that special someone she cares about where as our female character is reading a letter from that someone she cares about. Looking back at photographs of them together is one point that they both have in common sitting on their beds reflecting on the past through looking at photographs. Another element in common is when the audience can view the two characters together in the past these shots are in grey so that the audience know it is set in the past and thy can see the relationship between the two characters. The genre of both music videos is narrative as this example video and our video are both telling a story of two characters that have a special relationship with ours a mother and daughter and in the example video a girl and a boy but both tell the story of that relationship and through the shots shown in the exmaple video can help show emotion and seem as if you are acutally there viewing what is happening. The target audience that this video is aimed at is teenagers to young adults which is the main genre they listen to being R & B and Pop etc that is narrative base.
